The controversy initially with word "Allah"

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - Unknown Date:

A devotee is seen doing some prayer inside a Church in Kuala Lumpur January 11, 2012. The controversy initially happened in 2010, after which an understanding was actually achieved between the Muslims and non-Muslims. It was understood then that Christians in East Malaysia have been using the term ‘Allah’ in the Malay version of the Bible for over a hundred years. Two days ago, Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, decreed that non-Muslims in the state are barred from using “Allah” as it is a sacred word exclusive to Muslims. The Government issued a statement to allow the word “Allah” to be used in the Malay version of the Bible according the local news report. Photo by Samsul Said.
